HSLA President’s Message (Present)

On the Passing of our dear friend and leader, Pete MacGregor, we are reminded of what he and his wife Joanie MacGregor had envisioned when breaking ground for the Camp that bears their name over 10 years ago.  Namely, a beautiful place to commune with nature and for Scouts to explore and learn new outdoor skills.

Camp MacGregor located in Guilford, Vermont is owned and operated by the non-profit Hopkinton Scout Leader's Association (HSLA) for the recreation and outdoor education of all Hopkinton, Mass. and Guilford, VT Scouting groups.   It is available to all Scouts, and some availability to the general public for hiking is being considered.

The Camp has over 200 acres of wooded lands and fields and includes a pond.  Common sightings include deer, moose, wild turkey, Canada geese, grouse, and a variety of turtles, frogs and newts in and around the pond.  A large barn on the property dating back to the 1860's harkens back to the properties past days.

We look forward to visits from our Friends,

Thank You!

PAST President’s Message

Welcome to the Camp MacGregor website! Camp MacGregor is owned and operated by the non-profit Hopkinton Scout Leaders Association (HSLA) for the recreation and outdoor education of all Hopkinton, Mass. and Guilford, VT Scouting groups.

This beautiful property is located in Guilford, Vermont just across the Massachusetts border on Route 5. With 214 acres of woodlands and fields and a pond, the camp provides numerous opportunities for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Brownies to explore diverse habitats and learn about nature. Common sightings include deer, moose, wild turkey, Canada geese, grouse, and a variety of turtles, frogs and newts in and around the pond. A large barn on the property is also being refurbished for use as an arts and crafts center.
Camp MacGregor did officially open in the spring of 2000, and we plan to expand this website as use of the property expands.
Please address any comments or questions to Rick Keough at coordinator@hsla.org
